Very Early Emotional Attachments

Many of us don’t realize how very early emotional attachements to our parents or caretakers influence our capacity in adulthood to form safe emotional attachments with our families, friends and lovers.

There are three possible very early, emotional attachements formed with our parents or caretakers identified by Ed Tronic in a moving video of the interactions of a beautiful young mother and her baby.

Tronic identfies three possible very early emotional relationships formed with our parents or caretakers when we were infants: Good, Bad and Ugly.

As you watch the video, let your feelings well up inside you and ask yourself: Which of the three emotional relationships did I have with my parents or caretakers when I was an infant?
